    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Ensures proper operation and maintenance of hospital building, grounds and equipment. 
    • Ensures preventative and corrective maintenance is performed in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner. 
    • Maintains records and documentation required by all regulatory and accreditation agencies as well as good engineering practices. 
    • Maintains all aspects of the hospital-wide safety and security programs. 
    • Oversees construction/renovations project, ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies.

     

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

    • Associates degree or equivalent experience in acute care Plant Operations
    • Five (5) years progressive plant operation experience in an acute care environment
    • Working knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding Plant Operations
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Working level knowledge of computer systems (including Microsoft Office)
    • Demonstrated management, administrative, planning and budgeting skills
    • Excellent communication (written / verbal) skills
    • Excellent organizational skills

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Establishes and maintains hospital policies for purchasing, receiving, warehousing, general stores and supply distribution.

     

    • Works with identified vendors and distributors to develop and implement various inventory controls and distribution and tracking systems.

     

    • Works to develop standardization of products and equipment throughout the hospital.

     

    • Negotiates with supply and equipment vendors to ensure cost effective purchasing.  Interviews and screens new vendors.  Provides introduction of new products to the hospital.

     

    • Assists in planning and budgeting phases of hospital wide supply and equipment purchases.  Provides various cost and usage reports.  Creates system of supply cost containment and equipment/instrument control.

     

    • Ensures accurate data is reported through interfaces with Finance/GL Accounting.

     

     

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in acute care Materials Management
    • Five (5) years materials management leadership experience
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Working level knowledge of computer systems (including Microsoft Office)

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Directs, plans, organizes and manages the daily activities of the Medical Staff Office

    • Establishes, and maintains continuity in the planning, development and implementation of standards applicable to the medical staff that relate to credentialing, privileging, bylaws and rules and regulations

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

    • CPMSM or CPCS certification
