As a California not-for profit organization, Gardens Regional Hospital & Medical Center dba Tri-City Regional Medical Center operates its Foundation, the Southern California Health and Wellness Foundation, to solicit and manage funds to serve the underserved in the community. Donors can contribute funds to the hospital or directly to the Foundation to help support the hospital’s community services, such as low-cost mammograms, community health screenings and educational programs that include area schools, senior centers and the City of Hawaiian Gardens.
Gardens Regional Hospital & Medical Center dba Tri-City Regional Medical Center serves a highly at risk community that is largely Latino. The hospital’s community outreach programs serve to improve access to basic health care services with health fairs, free educational events and 24-hour Emergency Room (“ER”) care.
The hospital serves thousands of patients each year and has reported annual uncompensated care of more than $10 million.
